Dear AHS friends.
After a long reflection, the committee of the Alpine Heli Smackdown have choose to do NOT organize the 2017 edition.
Alpine Heli Smackdown have always been a fun fly made to regroup friends and RC passionate from all Europe at the end of the season. We never wanted to organize anything lucrative or competitive, but the efforts in time and money to put in place an event that have touched in the years more than 250 pilots in a day with more than 10 fly stations, is a factor that ask us to stop a moment and evaluate the next future steps.
The market has changed a lot in the years, but we were lucky to have a format that worked for 9 editions without making a lot of adjustment. AHS is mainly organized by my dad Lorenzo and me, Lukas. This year we’re both really busy on our private business and we have taken the decision to have a break.
This doesn’t mean that AHS will never be organized again. The 2018 edition’s planning (in coincidence with the 10th AHS edition) will start earlier and we’ll evaluate what we need to improve in order to keep in line with the new market (fpv and drones for example). It will surely be a different kind of event but, in any way, we’ll never lose the meaning of this event: we started with RC helis and we will continue to have them as a core.
For this reason we want to thank all pilot, friends and sponsor, that have attended this event in the past 9 years. We hope to see you on the flight line for the 10th AHS edition in September 2018.

après une longue réflection le staff de Alpine Heli Smackdown a décide de NE PAS organiser l’édition 2017.
Alpine heli Smackdown à toujours été un Fun Fly ayant pour but de réunir des pilotes et des amis du vol hélicoptère RC à la fin de la saison. Nous n’avons jamais organisé cette manifestation pour des fins commerciaux mais l'effort en argent et temps pour organiser pendant 9 ans de suite un meeting qui touche autant de pilotes à été vraiment important et nous demande une réflection pour le futur.
Le marché à bien changé dans les années mais nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir présenter le même format avec peux de changements pendant 9 éditions. AHS a été organisé principalement par mon père Lorenzo et moi Lukas. Cette année nous sommes les deux très occupés par le travail et donc nous avons du décider de prendre une pause.
Cela ne signifie pas que nous allons abandonner l'organisation de AHS. L’édition 2018 est bien dans nos programmes et elle sera en coïncidence avec les 10 ans de Alpine Heli Smackdown, cela mérite une organisation importante et revisitée, par exemples en tenant compte des drones et fpv. Ça sera bien sur différent mais sans jamais oublier que nous sommes nés avec les hélico et ils seront encore notre objectif principale .
Pour cette raison nous tenons à remercier les pilotes et les sponsors qui nous ont suivi dans les dernières 9 éditions. Nous espérons de vous retrouver tous pour la dixième édition de AHS en septembre 2018.

dopo una lunga e difficile riflessione il comitato di Alpine Heli Smackdown ha deciso di NON organizzare l'edizione 2017.
Alpine Heli Smackdown è sempre stato un fun fly avente lo scopo di radunare piloti e amici dell'elicottero RC alla fine della stagione. AHS non ha mai avuto scopi commerciali o competitivi ma il tempo e i soldi investiti per organizzare un evento che ha coinvolto così tanti piloti e oltre 10 stazioni di volo contemporanee sono sempre stati molto importanti.
Nel corso degli anni il mercato è molto cambiato ma abbiamo avuto la forntuna che il formato della manifestazione ha permesso l'organizzazione per ben 9 anni consecutivi senza grossi cambiamenti.
AHS è sempre stato organizzato principalmente da mio papà Lorenzo e da me, Lukas. Quest'anno siamo entrambi molto occupati con le nostre attività lavorative e abbiamo quindi deciso di prendere una pausa.
Questo non significa che AHS verrà abbandonato. L'AHS 2018 coinciderà con la decima edizione e richiederà alcune modifiche a livello organizzativo che tengano conto dell'evoluzione del mercato, magari integrando droni e FPV. Sarà differente ma non dimenticheremo di essere partiti con gli elicotteri RC che resteranno sempre al centro della nostra manifestazione.
Per questa ragione vogliamo ringraziare tutti i piloti e gli sponsor che ci hanno sostenuto e che hanno partecipato alle 9 passate edizioni. Speriamo di ritrovarvi numerosi al via della decima edizione dell'AHS che si terrà nel mese di settembre del 2018.
